Kip Horton specializes in financial and turnaround advisory services for both companies and creditors, and has consulted on strategic planning, business plan analysis, cash management, enterprise valuation, cost reduction, restructuring, divestiture analysis, mergers and acquisitions and risk management. Within the energy and infrastructure arena, Mr. Horton has extensive experience in asset takeovers on behalf of secured lenders, risk management, trading-related activities and cash management. Additionally, Mr. Horton has extensive experience managing and operating retail focused storefronts.

Mr. Horton previously served as the interim CEO of Upstate NY Power Producers (f/k/a AES Eastern Energy). Mr. Horton also served as the treasurer of Boston Generating, LLC and sat on the Board of Directors of EBG Holdings, LLC, a portfolio of merchant generation plants in and around Boston and subsequently, on the Board of US PowerGen Company. Mr. Horton also served as the Chairman of the Board of South Bay Expressway, a private toll road in Southern California, and as a board member of Aventine Renewables, Bicent Power and Southwest Georgia Ethanol.

Prior to founding RPA, Mr. Horton was an Executive Director at Capstone Advisory Group, a restructuring and turnaround consulting firm. Previously, he was with Prudential Securities.

Education and Affiliations

Mr. Horton holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Richmond with a concentration in Finance. He is also a member of the Turnaround Management Association.
