Wayne Day specializes in financial and turnaround advisory services for both companies and creditors, and has consulted on bankruptcy reorganizations, out-of-court restructurings, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, liquidations, and capital raises. Mr. Day also prepares business valuations, cost reduction analysis, and assists management in strategic planning and business plan analysis.
Prior to joining RPA Advisors, Mr. Day was hired as the Chief Restructuring Officer and later assumed the Chief Executive Officer position for Barzel Industries, an $800 million revenue producer of steel tubes, pipes, plates, and distributor of steel, aluminum and stainless steel products. There he managed the day-to-day operations while implementing a sales process and winding down the operations.
Mr. Day was also the Chief Restructuring Officer for Leslie Controls, a public company owned by Circor, that produces valves that control the flow of fluids in the aerospace, energy and industrial markets. At the time he managed all aspects of the bankruptcy process for the company, allowing the management team to focus on operations.
Mr. Day’s prior employment includes working with Zolfo Cooper, Policano and Manzo, FTI Consulting, CCV Restructuring, and Price Waterhouse.
Mr. Day received his BBA in Accounting from Rochester Institute of Technology and a MBA from Michigan State University with a concentration in Finance. He is also a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Valuation Analyst and a Certified Insolvency and Reorganization Advisor.
