Bob Clarren is a Managing Director at RPA, specializing in providing financial restructuring advisory services to companies and creditors in troubled situations. His advisory assignments have included bankruptcy planning and liquidation, cash flow and liquidity analysis, enterprise valuation, litigation strategy, strategic reviews, business plan development and review, debt and covenant sizing, commercial and commodity risk management, project development, capital investment analysis, and sell-side M&A advisory.
Prior to joining RPA Advisors, Mr. Clarren was a core member of the ethanol and renewables corporate development team at GTL Resources that was sold to CHS Inc where he was responsible for the startup, operations, personnel management, and testing activities of a 50 ton per day multi-site process technology demonstration program. Mr. Clarren was also responsible for GTL’s diligence efforts related to technology licensing, joint venture, and M&A activities and significantly contributed to ethanol, distillers grains, corn oil, corn, and natural gas commodities risk management and trading. Additionally, Mr. Clarren led capital project development and execution activities relating to a combined heat and power island and a corn oil separation system.
Mr. Clarren holds a Master’s in Engineering Management from Northwestern University and a Bachelor’s of Science in Chemistry and Economics from the University of Michigan.
