George Henderson

George Henderson has more than twenty years experience in various commercial roles in renewable and fossil energy, including trading, structured origination, generation portfolio management, investment decisions, and executive leadership. He also has extensive experience in all aspects of energy markets, the commercialization of generation in ISO markets, related regulatory matters, power purchase agreements, and complex structured energy transactions.

Prior to joining RPA Advisors, Mr. Henderson served as Managing Director and Head of Physical Energy Trading as well as Head of Marketing and Origination for PSEG Energy Resources Trade LLC, where he was responsible for trading and marketing functions for PSEG Power’s 15,000 MW generation portfolios in PJM, NYISO, ISONE and ERCOT. Mr. Henderson led the effort to move ER&T generation management and asset based trading activities into the ERCOT market. The ERCOT team provided all fuel, trading, dispatch, QSE and structured marketing activities for two 1,000 MW combined cycle generators. Mr. Henderson has also served as Vice President of Marketing and Origination for the Eastern and Midwest regions for Lehman Brothers Commodity Services. Prior to entering the energy industry Mr. Henderson held various roles in international crude oil and petroleum products trading.

Mr. Henderson also served as Chief Commercial Officer and Board of Directors member with EverPower Wind Holdings Inc. where he participated in decisions concerning wind generation investments and acquisitions. He developed EverPower’s Commercial team covering all front, middle, and back office functions for a 750 MW portfolio of contracted and merchant wind farms.

Mr. Henderson is a graduate of the US Merchant Marine Academy (Kings Point), Northwestern University (MS Transportation/Logistics) and attended the Harvard Business School Program for Management Development. He was a USCG licensed Third Officer on Exxon tankers and a commissioned officer in the US Naval Reserve.
